Bollywood actress Yami Gautam is celebrating her 32nd birthday today. Yami made her Bollywood debut in 2012 with the film ‘Vicky Donner’. In this film, he has appeared opposite Ayushman Khurana. In her first film, Yami took a huge risk because the themes of this film were a bit different than normal Bollywood films. The film was on issues like infertility and sperm donation which are considered taboo in Indian society.

Parents asked – what is the picture about?

At India Today Conclave South 2018, Yami said while talking about this film, it was a time when I was heavily auditioning. At the time, I had the choice of making a simple Bollywood style film debut. I did it all myself, no one was standing behind me then. When I auditioned for ‘Vicky Donner’, I asked the casting director what the film was about.

The Ingalai director simply smiled without answering. I found out about it when I got the picture. The parents had to say this thing. My dad asked me what the picture was and I gave him the whole screenplay. When I read the parents’ script they had a reaction – it’s great. The film was a resounding success and gave birth to the careers of Ayushman and Yami.
