The Delhi High Court will today rule on a petition filed by actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father seeking a stay on the production and release of four films based on Sushant’s life. These include ‘Justice: The Justice’, ‘Suicide and Murder: A Star Was Lost’, ‘Shashank’ and an untitled film.
A bench of Justice Sanjeev Narula may pronounce the verdict at 11 am. In the petition, Sushant’s father Krishna Kishore Singh wanted to ban the use of similar characters in his son’s name or picture.
The first film is set to release on June 11th
The first film about Sushant’s life ‘Niya: The Justice’ will be released on June 11. To stop this, KK Singh said that the use of his son’s name or his choice in the proposed film should be stopped. The filmmakers are making a film on this side to take advantage of the situation. In the petition, KK Singh said that such films, web series, books or interviews could be published, which could damage the reputation of his son or his family. He has demanded Rs 2 crore compensation from the filmmakers for this.

Advocate Chander Lal, appearing for the director of ‘Justice: The Justice’, argued that Sushant Singh Rajput’s name or his preferences were not included in the film. This is not a biopic of Sushant. It’s not right to stop making movies for someone. The constitution gives freedom of expression. Sushant was a celebrity and people want to know what happened to him. Not only that, the release of the film has been widely publicized, so there is no guarantee that it will stop.
The mystery of Sushant’s death remains unsolved even after one year
