Actor Sonu Sood, who repatriated migrant workers to their homes during the Corona period, brought back stranded students abroad, arranged free treatment and education for the children. Sonu has been awarded the Special Humanitarian Action Award of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) SDG.

The award was presented to Sonu at a virtual ceremony on Monday, Indian time. In addition to Sonu, Hollywood celebrities Angelina Jolie, Leonardo DiCaprio, Emma Watson, Liam Neeson, Cate Blanchett, Antonio Bandras, Nicole Kidman, Priyanka Chopra and British footballer David Beckham have been given other awards by the UN.

Sonu Sood was happy to receive the award and said that it is a special honor. Recognition by the UN is very special. I did what I could for my countrymen without any hope. It is special for recognition and respect. I support UNDP’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. Completion of these goals will benefit the whole world and humanity.

The film was also honored on set

Sonu was also honored by actor Prakash Raj in Hyderabad. Sonu Aludu won the Shawl Award on the set of the film Udras. Sonu is in Hyderabad to shoot the film. Prakash said that whatever Sonu did, it means a lot. Co-actor Brahmaji tweeted a picture of honor with Sonu.
