Filmmaker Shekhar Kapoor announced on Monday that he has started preparations for his upcoming film, which will be attended by Academy Award winner Emma Thompson.

He previously directed the 200C Beat Blanchett film Elizabeth: The Golden Age. Kapoor will return after a long time with this film. Kapoor said he was thrilled to start working on the film with the ‘Sense and Sensibility’ actress.

The 4-year-old director tweeted, “Today was my first rehearsal with Wonder Actress Emma Thompson, so I’m looking forward to working with her on my next film.” Kapoor made his directorial debut in the 1983 acclaimed Hindi feature film Masum. Shekhar Kapoor is currently the new chairman of the Film and Television Institute of India and the head of the institute’s governing council. Earlier, Shekhar Kapoor tweeted about the awards ceremony organized by Bollywood and targeted some of Bollywood’s biggest actors, directors and filmmakers.
