After the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Shekhar Kapoor, who raised the issue of nepotism in Bollywood, has been appointed as the new President of the Pune Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) and Chairman of the FTII Governing Council.
Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar made it public on Twitter, writing, “Glad to inform you that renowned international film personality Shekhar Kapoor has been made chairman of the FTII Society and he has been appointed FTII as the new Governing Council.”
Kapoor has received the Padma Shri award
