Actress Riya Chakraborty’s judicial custody has been extended by 14 days. The Bombay High Court is likely to give a verdict tomorrow on the rear bail application arrested in the drug case. The court reserved judgment last week. The actress appealed to the High Court after her application was twice rejected by the lower court.
Rhea was arrested on September 19 by the Bureau of Narcotics Control (NCB). The High Court may also rule on the bail application of Riya along with her brother Shovik and Sushant’s house manager Samuel Mirander.
Argument of NCB- Rhea is an active member of Drugs Syndicate
The NCB has opposed the bail of Riya and Shovik. The affidavits submitted to the court by the investigating agency show that Rhea and Shovik are active members of the drug syndicate and are associated with many high society people and drug suppliers. Section 27A has been imposed on them, so they should not be granted bail. According to the NCB, Riya has admitted to buying drugs. He was believed to have told Samuel Miranda, Deepesh Sawant and Shovik to buy medicine.
Rear’s lawyer argued that Sushant had been using drugs before.
The actress’ lawyer Satish Mansinde told the court that she used to take drugs before Riya entered Sushant’s life. Sushant was addicted to drugs. 3 actresses have said this. Like Riya, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan have said that Sushant used to use drugs before 2019.
