The investigation into the drug case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has revealed the names of several Bollywood actresses, including Deepika Padukone. After which the Bureau of Narcotics Control issued summons to him to appear on different dates. Meanwhile, there are reports that Deepika is blaming her manager Karisma for the name being stuck. His idea is that Karisma has leaked drug chats to the NCB.
According to Republic TV, Deepika is now pressuring Karisma not to divulge any more secrets or give any other information to the NCB. According to the channel’s report, Deepika suspects that her director and ‘Kwan’ employee Karisma and Jaya Saha have revealed drug secrets to the NCB and leaked drug chats to them.
Talk to a team of 12 lawyers
According to reports, it is further said that after receiving the summons from the NCB, Deepika spoke to her 12-member legal team in a video call about moving the strategy forward. Her husband Ranveer Singh and some people from ‘Kwan’ were also present with her at the time.
Deepika was caught publishing a drug chat
Deepika’s name was revealed in this Nexus when her conversation with her talent manager Karisma Prakash on WhatsApp was accepted by NCB. The chat was in October 2017 and in it they were both talking about goods, hashes and weeds.
The NCB had summoned four actresses
The NCB on Wednesday summoned the actresses involved in the case for questioning after the release of talent manager Jaya Saha’s interrogation and drug addiction. The agency has asked Rakul Preet Singh on September 24, Deepika Padukone on September 25, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan on September 22 for questioning.
Deepika has returned to Mumbai after receiving the summons
Deepika has been in Goa for the past few days for the shooting of one of her upcoming films, but she is expected to return to Mumbai by charter plane by Thursday evening after receiving a summons from the NCB.
The names of many celebrities have come up
The case still names actress Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Dia Mirza and Namrata Shirodkar, fashion designer Simon Khambata and producer Madhu Montana. Madhu Montana was questioned by the NCB on Wednesday.
20 people have been arrested in drug cases
The NCB has so far arrested Riya Chakraborty and her brother Shovik as well as Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda, assistant Deepesh Sawant and several drug dealers in the case. Miranda, Sawant and drug dealer Abdul Basit Parihar have appealed to the high court after the special court rejected their bail application. The next hearing on their application is in the High Court on September 29.
