Ray’s son Sandeep will make a film with the famous character Feluda and Professor Shank

Legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray’s son Sandeep Roy has decided to bring his immortal characters ‘Feluda’ and ‘Professor Shanku’ in the same film. Both parts of the film will be released on the occasion of Roy’s birth centenary.

Calcutta. Legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray’s son Sandeep Roy has decided to bring his immortal characters ‘Feluda’ and ‘Professor Shanku’ in the same film. This image will be made in two parts. On Thursday, his filmmaker’s son said that on the occasion of Roy’s birth centenary, both parts of the film will be released at different times next year.

Roy told PTI, ‘There will be two different stories, which I have yet to decide. Considering the total duration of the film I will choose from very popular short stories. Sandeep introduced science professor Shanka on the silver screen for the first time through this film last year and had earlier directed several films based on Detective Feluda.

Roy said the casting and location have not been finalized yet and work has already started before the film is produced. He said, ‘To this day, I have introduced Feluda and Shank in different ways. However, putting them together in the same picture would be a challenge. I hope it will stay in the memory of the audience for a long time.

Filmmaker Mahendra Soni had hoped that the film would be released in May next year. Ray’s birth anniversary falls on May 2
