New Delhi. The central government on Thursday told the Delhi High Court that it had lodged a complaint with the News Broadcasters Association (NBA) alleging that actress Rakul Preet Singh (Rakul Preet Singh) was linked to Riya Chakraborty in a drug case. And asked for a report on the matter.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting also told Justice Naveen Chawla that it had advised private satellite TV channels to follow the code of the program only in accordance with the October 9 cable television network rules.

The ministry has given this information in the status report filed through the permanent lawyer of the central government Ajay Digpaul. A status report has been filed following the court’s Sept. 29 order. Aman Hingorani, a lawyer for Rakul Preet Singh, said he was not satisfied with the steps taken by the ministry. He said the ministry had simply referred the matter to the NBA instead of taking any action.

Hingorani said the court had asked the ministry, the NBA and the Press Council of India to consider the request and issue a separate order. The NBA lawyer said he heard the actress ‘side on October 3 and then on October 12, he also heard her and 10 media channels’ side.

Earlier on September 29, the Delhi High Court had issued a notice to the government and others. Rakulpreet had filed a petition against Sukant Singh Rajput in a drug case demanding that news related to him not be published or shown in the media.

During the hearing in the Delhi High Court on September 29, Rakulpreet Singh’s lawyer said that there was no criminal case against the actress. However, at this time the media is regularly running fake news against him. Due to this, the image of Rakulpreet Singh is being ruined. Along with this, family and friends are also suffering.

The lawyer demanded that the media be banned from publishing any news related to Rakul Preet. In the petition, Rakulpreet Singh said that media reports should be stopped until the Bureau of Narcotics Control (NCB) submits a report without completing the investigation. Explain that the NCB, which is investigating the drug case, summoned and questioned Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakulpreet Singh after the case came to light.
