Deepika’s NGO opposed the title
Deepika Padukone’s NGO ‘The Live Love Laugh Foundation’ has complained that Kangana took the title of the film (formerly ‘Mental High Kaya’). He says it encourages people to use the word mantle as an insult.
In addition to The Live Love Laugh Foundation, doctors from the Indian Psychiatric Society have also complained to Censor Board President Prasoon Joshi, objecting to the title of the photo. Society said the title of the film makes fun of people fighting mental illness.
The title was later changed to ‘Judicial High Kaya’
Seeing the intensity of the controversy, the filmmakers replaced the title ‘Judicial Hai Ki’ with ‘Judicial Hai Ki’. ‘Judicial Hai Ki’ starring Kangana and Rajkumar Rao was released on 26 July 2019. Directed by Prakash Kovelmudi, the film grossed about Rs 33 crore at the box office.
