Producer-director Anurag Kashyap has denied the allegations against him.

  • On September 22, the actress filed a rape case against Anurag Kashyap at the Bikroli police station in Mumbai.
  • On Tuesday, the actress met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and threatened his life with Kashyap.

Mumbai police will question producer Anurag Kashyap, who was arrested in connection with the rape of South Indian actress Payal Ghosh in Mumbai on October 1 at 11 am. On Wednesday, a summons was issued against Kashyap from Mumbai’s Versova police station. Sources further said that by summoning them, the police have also been asked to leave Mumbai without permission. However, Kashyap issued a statement through a lawyer and completely rejected the actress’ allegations and said they were baseless.

The actress met the governor a day ago

Earlier on Tuesday, the actress met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiar. In it, he told Anurag Kashyap that his life was in danger. Coming out of the palace, the actress said, “Accused of rape are roaming the streets, so they should be given security.” Along with the actress, RPI chief Ramdas Atwal was also present at the Raj Bhavan. The actress said that if Kashyap is not arrested soon, he will go on a hunger strike.

A case of rape was filed against Kashyap on September 22

On September 22, the actress filed a rape case against film director-producer Anurag Kashyap at Mumbai’s Bikroli police station. The actress alleged that Kashyap had raped a man on Versailles Yari Road in 2013. Anurag has been charged with mischief, misdemeanor, unjustly restrained and insulting a woman.

Swara Bhaskar targeted Atwala

Actress Swara Bhaskar has taken note of the issue with Union Minister Ramdas Atwala. Swara Bhaskar shared a picture on her Twitter handle. Pawel Ghosh was seen with Union Minister Rathdas Atwale, lawyer Nitin Satpute and Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshi. Accompanying the photo, Swara Bhaskar wrote, “It would have been better if Minister Atawale G had given his support to the gang-raped girl and her family.”
