Home Minister Amit Shah further said that questions were being raised about the Mumbai police investigation. In such a case, Sushant’s case should have been properly investigated. However, we did not propose a CBI investigation. The state government felt, if the families felt, we have approved the CBI investigation. Whatever happens in Sushant’s place, there should be a judicial inquiry. All will be clear in the CBI investigation, I will not comment right now.
At the same time, in the context of Sushant’s media trial, the Home Minister said that it was an unfortunate incident, but such an incident should not be a media trial. It is the job of the media to show if something is wrong, but it is not right for the TRP to extend any program.
On the issue of drugs in Bollywood, the Home Minister said that the issue of drugs is not limited to Bollywood. It is extremely dangerous and needs to be eliminated quickly. In the last one-and-a-half years, we have taken very drastic steps in this regard and we have got results. But once we make it clear that the people associated with it will have a lot of problems. We are changing the infrastructure, also giving legal power. As far as Bollywood is concerned, it will soon be revealed in the NCB investigation. No one involved in drug cases will be excluded.
