The Drug Control Bureau on Friday questioned actress Rakul Preet Singh in the drug case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Riya Chakraborty reportedly took his name before the investigating agency, after which he was summoned.
During the interrogation, Rakul told his Riya Chakraborty about his drug interactions. He told NCB officials that the ‘drowning’ mentioned in the chat was a rolled cigarette, not any narcotics or drugs.
He refused to accept the summons
Earlier on Thursday morning, Rakul Preet had said that he had not received a summons from the NCB. However, the NCB later said that Rakulpreet had agreed to accept the summons. His address has also been updated. Earlier, on the issue of non-receipt of summons, the NCB had said that attempts were made to communicate with the actress through several platforms, but it could not be done. He was also called, but received no response.
Greatly earned name in Southern industry
Rakul started modeling at the age of 18 while studying in college. Then, in 2009, he started acting in the Kannada film Gili. After that, he moved to Hyderabad for a career in Southern film. He made his Telugu film debut with ‘Kertam’ and Tamil film ‘Thaidaira Thakka’. After that, he became a well-known name in the southern industry by working in many films.
Debut in Bollywood
Rakul made his name in the South and set foot in Bollywood in 2014. ‘Irian’ was his first film which proved to be a flop. Four years later he was seen in the film ‘Iyari’. In 2019, he was seen in ‘De De Pyaar De’ and ‘Marjawan’. Later this year his film ‘Simla Mirch’ was released. Which proved to be a huge flop.
