Last week Karan Johar released the trailer of his web reality show ‘The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’, which will be aired on OTT platform Netflix. Now filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has accused him and Apurba Mehta, CEO of his company Dharma Productions, of grabbing the title of his film for his web show.
Madhur Bhandarkar wrote in his latest tweet, “Dear Karan Johar! You and Apurba Mehta demanded to give me the title of ‘Bollywood Wife’ which I refused. Because my project is working. It is moral and theoretical. You are ‘The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’.” Please do not ruin my project. I kindly request you to change the title.
Complaints of religion in IMPPA
In addition to expressing her grief on social media, Madhur Bhandarkar has also lodged a complaint with the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) against Dharma Dharma Productions.
IMPPA said they did not release the title to Karan Johar for their web show. According to reports, the association wrote a letter in this regard asking Dharma Productions and Netflix to change the title.
So far no response has come from either Karan Johar or Apurba Mehta. Talking about their web show, Bollywood’s famous wives, it will tell you about how they live their lives.
