Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh has also faced discrimination due to her dark complexion. This is the first time he has spoken openly about this. Chitrangada revealed that she was not only discriminated against in the modeling profession when she was growing up. Because of the color, I wasn’t given a lot of modeling work.

Last month, Chitrangada shared an Instagram story in which she said she was ‘brown and happy’. He said in an interview that there is a lot of decimation depending on the color of the skin. In addition to his talk, he further said that not everyone goes out of the house in search of white-skinned people.

Speaking to the Bombay Times, Chitrangada said, ‘I know the feeling of living as a dark-skinned girl. Although it’s not like people will say it directly to you, you can only understand it. Growing up in my childhood in North India, I went through this kind of superstition. Before coming to Mumbai, Chitrangada Singh lived in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.

Chitrangada further said, ‘I was not given the job of modeling as I am a dark woman. In the early days of modeling I was told I was dark. Gulzar Sir has seen my same audition. After watching the audition he gave me work on his music video. After that I got the encouragement that not everyone works on the basis of fair caste. Speaking of work front, Chitrangada can be seen in a short film. The special thing is that Chitrangada has written the dialogue and screenplay of this film.
