Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap was interrogated for 24 hours at Mumbai’s Versova police station on Thursday on charges of rape. He reached the police station at 10.05 am and left after 6 pm. According to police sources, Anurag denied the allegation of sexual harassment of actress Payal Ghosh. Anurag said he never called Payal to his home in Versova. He knows Payal professionally. However, we did not meet for a long time.
During the interrogation, Anurag further said that he was surprised to learn that Payal had accused him. He told police that all of Pawel’s allegations were false and baseless. There is absolutely no truth in them. This is a conspiracy against me. However, the police want to know when and why they will conspire against them. Anurag could not give any clear answer about this.

Mumbai police issued summons to Anurag
On Tuesday, Mumbai police summoned Anurag Kashyap for questioning. Police summoned them and told them that they should not leave Mumbai without permission. Earlier on September 22, actress Payal Ghosh had filed a rape case against Anurag. He alleged that Anurag raped him in 2013 at a place on Curry Road in Versoir.
Anurag was feared to be arrested
In the morning, there was talk that Anurag could be arrested by the police. Because, a case has been filed against him under four sections. Section 366 (i) means rape, 354 means to humiliate a woman for violating her dignity, 341 means to detain a woman unjustly and 342 means to take someone hostage. Of these, 366 are bailable clauses, so Anurag could be arrested if the allegations in the investigation are true.
Payal tweeted: “I hope I get justice.”
Earlier on Wednesday, Payal Ghosh tweeted a summons to the Mumbai police, “Thank you for sending the summons to Anurag Kashyap and summoning him for questioning at Versova police station. I hope we get justice … !!”
Payal also shared the #MeToo Movement’s tweets
Payal shared some screen shots on his Twitter account. He claims that these posts are related to the time of the # #MeToo movement. In it he mentions a famous director who advised him to be ‘physically friendly’ instead of working. Payal added, “Some of my posts that were deleted by my manager and my family during the #MeToo movement. I will take care of #MeTooIndia to do something else, because #MeTooIndia is fake and influential. People are slaves.
In a tweet dated 12 October 2018, Payal wrote, “Now it’s time to call #MeToo Twitter. #MeTooMovment continues, I’m angry, it seems like a lot to say but my family won’t let me say anything about it and all my tweets Erased, let the hatred end, I will come back to spread love again. “
Payal also met with the governor
The actress met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiar on Tuesday. He threatened Anurag with his life. Coming out of the palace, the actress said, “The rape accused is roaming the streets without any hesitation, so protect me.”
Payal said he would go on a hunger strike if Kashyap was not arrested soon. Exactly one day later, the Mumbai police issued a summons against Anurag Kashyap.
A case was filed against Anurag on September 22
Payal lodged an FIR with the Versova police station in Mumbai. He alleged that Anurag raped him in 2013 at a place on Curry Road in Versoir.
